"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

It's quite simple to upload actually. Go to your user homepage and click "Submit Deviation".
After that, click the "categories" and then find the "deviant Art" relation section.
After that select "deviant ID".
Then whatever you upload from that submission window will be considered your "deviant ID" and will be displayed on your homepage.
